An open looking heat featuring plenty of in-form sprinters. Apricot Sky, who has twice failed to build on his Ripon win, looks held by the handicapper at present, and the same can be said of the consistent Inexes who is also stepping up in grade here. Slingsby showed admirable determination in battling to a victory at Newcastle in first time cheek-pieces, but this is a tougher level of competition. FIELD GAME (NAP) hit form at Newbury last time, landing his first handicap victory, and having avoided a penalty could take some stopping here. Art Obsession won a similar sort of race at Doncaster last time and has strong place claims, along with Signore Piccolo, who has slipped to a good mark.
