A terrific renewal for the Acomb Stakes and Tajdeef is chosen ahead of Captain Brilliance and Campanologist. There was plenty to like about the selection's debut victory at Newbury. He was always moving sweetly and led on the bit before pulling well clear of Redensor. The runner up has since performed with credit at Salisbury and so it wasn't as if he beat a modest bunch and he can take this step up in class in his stride. Captain Brilliance confirmed his debut promise with a decisive victory in a class three event at headquarters. The stable have some classy juveniles in the yard and so this one has to rate a major threat. Mark Johnston's Campanologist showed great determination to land a strong looking Sandown maiden on his debut and as with most of the stable's juveniles improvement is almost guaranteed. Legislation is from a yard in flying form and looks the best of the others, however Tajdeef looked a star in the making and he can take this before moving on to better things.
