LUSAIL came out best in the July Stakes at Newmarket and that race has worked out well. Richard Hannon’s colt beat the subsequent Richmond Stakes winner Asymmetric with recent Group 1 winner Ebro River and the re-opposing Eldrickjones further behind. The latter was also beaten by Berkshire Shadow in the Coventry at Ascot earlier with Vintage Clarets back in third. Irish raider Twilight Jet has something to find with the selection on collateral form and the same comment applies to Gis A Sub. Orazio came up short in Listed company at Newbury when suffering a cut leg while Fearby has won a Listed contest at Goodwood though that was over the minimum trip.
