Four-year-olds have had a stranglehold on this race in the last decade and My Frankel finished in front of Midnights Legacy when third in the Old Newton Cup at Haydock. Both have been beaten since while Strawberry Rock had HMS PRESIDENT back in third when scoring at Windsor in June. But the latter has gone close in both subsequent starts and gets the vote in this having finished in front of both Sam Cooke and Restorer when narrowly beaten at the Shergar Cup fixture at Ascot.
