Alpha Delphini managed just one run last year but did finish runner-up to Battaash in that in a Group 2 at Haydock. EL ASTRONAUTE found extra when challenged by Tarboosh at Doncaster and should confirm the form, despite worse terms. He is suited by this easy 5f and can reverse Doncaster form in the autumn with Equilateral on 3lb better terms. Major Jumbo hasn’t been beaten far in a couple of Group 3 races this term so shouldn’t be far away but Ayr winner Que Amoro will need to up her game again, though does hold Moss Gill on the form book. Al Raya was a speedy juvenile but his best runs to date have come at Chantilly.
