In depth

Verdict

The Ballydoyle colt Emperor Of Rome is fitted with cheekpieces having failed to land the odds at Dundalk on his debut and steps up in distance along with CUBAN THUNDER. The latter finished in front of a subsequent winner when runner-up at Newmarket last month and is taken to go one better in this. The Godolphin newcomer Impressive Act cost 650,000gns though Air Force One cost a similar price and has the speedier pedigree. Sue's Little Angel is a sister to three winners while Varden is preferred to stablemate We Never Stop.
