Brave Burt makes a quick reappearance following a decent second over the week-end and is certain to be thereabouts today, but preference just goes to Golden Dixie, with Semenovski also in with a squeak. Andrew Balding's gelding is just about reaching his peak following three promising efforts this season. His most recent effort came at Newmarket at the end of last month when finishing fifth behind Johnny Ebeneezer, form that has been well advertised by the winner. Prior to that performance the selection made Pinchbeck pull out all the stops at Haydock, on softish ground, so if the rains arrive it shouldn't be a problem. Brave Burt was only just run out of it by Strawberry Patch at Newbury last Saturday and with Fallon on board, looks a major threat. Meanwhile Semenovski bounced back to form with a victory over Cold Climate last time and should go close despite a rise in the weights. So not the easiest of finishes for punters, but Golden Dixie is given a tentative vote.
