Alternative gets a narrow vote over Chief Editor and Avertuoso, with Hill Of Lujain and Dubai's Touch worth noting. There is certainly plenty of winning form to go on here, and it could well be that some will improve more than others, so with that in mind, just a small preference is for Alternative. Ralph Beckett's charge opened his account at Bath in April, displaying a high knee action in the process, so should be suited by today's ground conditions, and with the runner-up Mood Music franking the form at Hamilton last week, he is taken to follow up, with Nelson De Souza's claim to help. Avertuoso improved markedly on what he had shown at Thirsk by scoring with a bit in hand at Musselburgh 12 days ago, and as long as he handles the going, can find that bit more needed to figure. Jamie Spencer takes over from a claimer on Chief Editor whose third to Gilded at Newmarket does not read too bad either. Hill Of Lujain scraped home at Hamilton but looks as though another furlong will come in handy. However, with Kieren Fallon on board he will attract support. Mark Johnston saddles newcomer Dubai's Touch, a 115,000gns son of Dr Fong who will better over slightly further on breeding. Alternative has the proven form and is taken to follow up.
