Glingerbank, Brave Rebellion and James Bay form the shortlist for this competitive opener and the vote is given to Glingerbank. The selection really caught the eye on his debut at Kelso when third behind Water Taxi. He ran green that day but gave the impression that he could be quite useful and he sets the benchmark for the rest tonight. Brave Rebellion is eased in grade today so may give him the most to think about, but he has failed to build on a promising run at Catterick back in November and he may be best watched at present. James Bay showed promise in a bumper on his racecourse bow when finishing third Insurgent at Musselburgh, but he looks the stable's second-string and will do well to get the better of our selection. Red Square Run is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market, but for the winner we will stick with Glingerbank.
