This is a competitive handicap hurdle and the leading lights look to be Birdwatch, Catch The Perk and Chief Dan George with the vote given to Catch The Perk. The selection is a course and distance winner and he has his optimum ground conditions this evening. He is arguably better over the bigger obstacles but he has won over hurdles and he looks the percentage call in a tight race. Birdwatch certainly has the form to win this race and he reverts to hurdling after a recent run on the level. However, his best efforts have been with cut in the ground and for that reason he is narrowly passed over. Chief Dan George is game and consistent but he is hard to win with, so while a place is probably a realistic target for him he may find a couple too good. Provocative is far from reliable but if he could get round then he would stand a chance, while Muckle Flugga is another that should not be dismissed lightly. However, for the winner we will stick with Catch The Perk.
