Anything that David Nicholls sends out in this grade has to be respected and Wanchai Lad is no exception but, with David Barker's yard in such good form now, more solid claims are held by Whinhill House and he is preferred with Milton Bradley's pair One Way Ticket and Cape Royal rated the best of the rest. The selection, like most of the yard's runners, has really come to himself of late and is taken to make the most of the weight that he receives. The Jobber is a reliable performer in this company but could probably do with more cut in the ground. Caribbean Coral ran better at Epsom last time and has claims on that evidence although a bigger threat is likely to come from One Way Ticket. Milton Bradley's gelding made a highly satisfactory reappearance at Brighton last week and, along with stablemate Cape Royal, cannot be ruled out but Whinhill House represents connections that can do little wrong at present and he is preferred.
