A wide open looking handicap in which we will give the tentative vote to Hamish McGonagall with both Marvellous Value and Rash Moment worth noting. The selection is three pounds higher for finishing second in behind Mey Blossom at Thirsk last time out. Prior to that he broke his maiden tag against maiden company at Musselburgh and still looks progressive and unexposed so is one to stay on the right side of. Marvellous Value has done nothing wrong in winning both his career starts to date winning at Catterick on his debut and a handicap at Haydock last time out. He won well that day but is now fifteen pounds higher in the weights as a result which looks harsh. He will have to improve vastly to win here and it will remain to be seen if the handicapper has over reacted or not. Rash Moment has looked to be going the right way. He did nothing wrong last season and caught the eye when third to Corrybrough at Sandown last time. That form has not really been franked as the second horse Chartist was well beaten at Chester last week so the race could be open for debate. That said the booking of Ryan Moore is a positive one so any support should be noted. But for the winner we return to Hamish McGonagall.
