    Verdict

HAMISH has been a fine stalwart of the William Haggas yard for many a year and he proved he still retains a zest for the game with another stellar victory in the Ormonde Stakes at Chester. Tashkhan does have something to find on the official ratings though it's worth remembering that he did chase Stradivarius to three lengths when seen here in last year’s Yorkshire Cup. Teumessias Fox is a fascinating participant and it is be hoped that his disappointing run at Royal Ascot was merely a bad day at the office. Scriptwriter has been a fine dual-purpose recruit for Milton Harris though he’ll need a career best in order to prevail here.
