In depth

Verdict

Mimi Mouse is in good form and can land this competitive handicap at the main expense of Wanchai Lad, Mr Wolf and Gallery Girl. The selection does have the benefit of a good draw here and although she has a penalty for her most recent success, she did win with a bit to spare and she still remains well-treated. Wanchai Lad is closely-matched with Bo McGinty from their run at Beverley last time and on these terms there should be little between them again, especially as they are both well-drawn. Mr Wolf should have his own way on the far side of the track from stall 18 and if things go his way he could go well at a price. Gallery Girl is better over further so looks opposable, while Green Park was disappointing last time and his habit of being slowly away could cost him his chance. This is not a race for big wagers but Mimi Mouse has solid claims and gets the vote.
