The opener looks to be a match between Star Of Rosanna and Gaspar Van Wittel and we just give the edge to the latter. Star Of Rosanna was a soft ground debut scorer over 6f at Leicester. Connections have clearly decided that the filly needs more experience before handicapping and she should certainly be competitive here, again over the same trip. However, preference is for Gaspar Van Wittel who showed a fair bit of speed to land a 5f maiden here last month, and who raced as if this trip would see him to even better effect. Clearly going the right way, he can follow up. Nestor Protector won an egg and spoon race on debut and was exposed last time and with the other pair looking unlikely winners we take Gaspar Van Wittel to come home in front.
