GILDED AGE is selected ahead of Nawaadi and Off Chance in a tough looking finale. In truth, not too many can be confidently ruled out but good money for Gosforth Park and Antigua Sunrise would also be noteworthy. The former, as we'll touch on later, already has improvement to find. But he has a race within him and could be good value for a place in the frame. Antigua Sunrise is going the right way but needs to prove he has the stamina for the trip. Off Chance is a lightly raced type who has been given a lenient mark despite winning at Ripon last month. This is obviously a good deal tougher but this Tim Easteby-trained filly has plenty of untapped potential. She is worth following whatever happens here. Nawaadi is getting better with each run and is not out-faced at this level. He did get warm in the preliminaries last time; so it remains to be seen how he will handle the hustle and bustle of the Knavesmire. Gilded Age, on the other hand, has seemed to relish his visits to the racecourse so far and, if his pounding defeat of Gosforth Park at Redcar is anything to go by, there is plenty more to come from this stoutly bred individual.
