      Verdict

MISHEER displayed stacks of promise in her debut and gets the nod ahead of Azif and Leleyf, who spearhead the shortlist of dangers. Diamond Laura is also worth noting in the betting, as she landed a maiden at Wolverhampton in good style earlier in the week and she deserves to take her chance at this higher level. Leleyf bids to maintain her unbeaten status and, as this course can be very demanding on a youngster's stamina; she is likely to find this test an idea challenge. Her stable also send out Grand Zafeen, so again the market will be a good gauge of expectations. Azif delivered on her promising introduction when she caused a minor upset at Newmarket last month. She went about the task in a professional manner that day and Gay Kelleway's filly is a big threat to them all. However, Misheer recorded a cracking speed figure for one so inexperienced when she won at Yarmouth a fortnight ago and, as Clive Brittain will no doubt have a trip to Ascot in mind if she shows up well here; this could be a perfect stepping stone for Misheer as she bids to progress through the ranks.
