Gold Mount won four times in this country before moving to Hong Kong and won over track and trip last month on his return and debut for Ian Williams. But WEEKENDER (NAP) returned to winning ways in a conditions race at Chelmsford last time, where he beat Danehill Kodiac rated 112, and a repeat of his placed efforts in last season’s Ebor and Irish St Leger should see John Gosden’s charge come out best in this. Sea The Lion has a bit to find with the selection on last year’s Ebor running but Red Verdon’s best form, as when runner-up in the Hardwicke last year, would see him thereabouts competing over 1m6f for the first time.
