Fonthill Road is in terrific form this season. He won well first time out and then didn¿t have a clear run when finishing a close second to Fire Up The Band at Chester. Gift Horse is another to consider. He won by four lengths from Doitnow at Doncaster and that form was given a boost when Doitnow won next time. He looks a progressive type and must go well. Soldiers Tale is another to consider but hasn¿t been seen out since scoring over the seven furlongs course here last year. He may need the run and the trip will be on the sharp side. The selection though is Philharmonic who can defy top weight. Richard Fahey holds him in some regard and he won well over five furlongs at Beverley having been beaten in a photo on his re-appearance at the Humberside track. Philharmonic can win on this en route to better things.
