Verdict
Andronikos has the class to take this Listed event, with Nota Bene, Yajbill and Screwdriver seen as the main threats. The selection improved for his return in the Greenham here when beating Yajbill narrowly but tidily in the Hesmonds Stud Pavilion Stakes at Lingfield last time. The pair meet on the same terms, and as Paul Cole has stated that Andronikos acts on any ground, the faster conditions should not hinder his chances of a follow-up. Yajbill has trained on and with the visor applied, is sure to make his mark before soon, but is held on form. Note Bene steps up a grade after making all at Newmarket last time, and although he will make a bold bid to make all, he should set things up nicely for Andronikos. Screwdriver hails from a yard in form but has his first run since scoring at Epsom last June and is best watched. He will improve for the run though and is one to keep in mind. On this occasion though, it is Andronikos who holds all the aces.
