SIRGARFIELDSOBERS may not have been as dependable as his great namesake so far, but he has the chance to shine now stepped up to this longer trip for the first time and he gets the vote, while Saga De Tercey is feared, and both The Last Alzao and Deauville Flyer are respected. The last-named is 5lbs worse off with the selection for beating him three lengths here over 1m 4f on fast ground last month, which gives him plenty of hope of reversing placings with Tim Easterby's charge. He also acts on slower ground and pedigree suggests that he is well worth a try over this trip. We have to put a line through his latest effort at Pontefract when he over heated before the off, and we will put him up as a sporting selection. Saga De Tercey looks to hold strong claims, given that he is proven over the trip and on a reasonable mark. He will be fine if the ground is no slower than good, but he will have it to prove on a softer surface. Richard Fahey-trained The Last Alzao is another taking a marked step up in trip and there is hope that he will get home, though he looks best on faster ground. Rain would be a positive for Bollin Felix, who has slipped back to his last winning mark and stays well, so if the heavens open then he has to be taken very seriously after having had a couple of runs already this campaign. However, we will chance Sirgarfieldsobers to run out the winner.
