This maiden doesn't look like it will take much winning and given that LAY CLAIM had such a promising debut we're on board with Sir Michael Stoute's runner in preference to Count Bertoni while Lost In The Moment is an interesting newcomer for Jeremy Noseda. A nose was the meagre margin that the pick went down by to a well bred Barry Hill's hotpot on debut and given he should come on for that run he has good claims on this contest with this an easier assignment. Count Bertoni hasn't quite lived up to his own promising debut in three runs since and is beginning to look exposed in this company. His form in context isn't that bad so he should be mounting a challenge. Lost In The Moment has a high-class pedigree but might be better as a three-year-old. That said there is enough in his bloodline to suggest he can go well over this trip at this stage in his life. Nothing else in this field makes much appeal and unless the one we've just mentioned proves to be a really good sort Lay Claim should do exactly that to this race.
