They may be drawn on opposite sides of the track but the three-year-olds MR OPTIMISTIC and Cadeaux Pearl both have decent claims in this. The latter was a little disappointing when only third at Windsor on Monday, however, so the vote goes to Richard Fahey's charge who was put up 5lb after winning at Ayr last time but is clearly still heading in the right direction. Tombi goes well on the Knavesmire and has fallen to a very attractive mark, while Rocket Rob has been knocking on the door recently and should be in the firing-line again. Haajes could also play a part if back to his best while Discanti looks the pick of Tim Easterby's pair, despite a below-par effort at Thirsk last month.
