        Verdict

        COTTAM LANE comfortably landed the odds at Beverley after a second on debut at Hamilton and there should be more to come. Shalaa Asker has been best so far on Polytrack but Showalong won on soft going at Redcar before a fair fourth in a decent nursery at Ayr. Though having a first run over the minimum, he should have the pace to cope. Clive Cox’ juveniles have been generally been needing a run so it would be no surprise to see massive improvement in Rose All Day after her fifth at Wolverhampton.
