David Simcock's Pintura is a confirmed performer under testing conditions and has every chance of winning again but the son of Efisio has harshly gone up 6lb for his win on heavy ground at Epsom recently and this looks tougher so he may have to settle for minor honours. At the top end of the handicap, Kiwi Bay and Charlie Cool are closely matched on their running at Redcar earlier this month and both have to be considered as does Bonnie Charlie, who represents the very much in-form yard of William Haggas. Tim Easterby's Medici Pearl should be thereabouts at the finish with ground conditions to suit but it is GUNNER LINDLEY that gets the vote. Barry Hills has his team in good order right now and the Medicean colt looks worth siding with having run his best race for some time when beaten by the narrowest of margins on soft ground at Newmarket last month so he has a solid chance off just a 2lb higher mark today.
