Despite an absence from the track of over a year, Sir Mark Prescott's Nottingham maiden winner Rock Dove has to be of interest on his return racing off a mark of 74 on his debut in this grade but a safer bet looks to be Dixieanna who is preferred to Polar Force. The last mentioned has shown improved form of late winning three of his last four starts but has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper as a result and may now be a shade high in the weights. Kings College Boy has been running consistently well and should again run his usual good race but he is creeping up the handicap now and may be booked for a place at best. Similar comments apply to Extremely Rare and of more interest may be Milton Bradley's Harrison's Flyer for who the booking of the promising Greg Fairley takes the eye. Meikle Barfil seemed to appreciate the drop to this trip when a close third at Sandown last month and has to be respected but the Barry Hills-trained Dixieanna has a 3lb pull for a length on running that day and having met trouble in running at the Esher course, is taken to reverse the form.
