Perhaps not quite as competitive as it looks at first glance, this middle-distance handicap can go to High Action, with Starry Lodge and Itemise others to consider. High Action has gone up 10lbs for two recent Pontefract successes and is reunited here with Kieren Fallon, who rode him to the first of those. With that in the plus column, together with his obvious stomach for a battle and this galloping track sure to suit, he can defy his latest rise and go in again. Starry Lodge will have plenty more on his plate here than when winning a three-year old handicap at Carlisle last time. However, he could not have looked much more impressive than he did that day and he may be capable of pushing the selection all the way off this higher mark. Meanwhile Itemise has won only once from starts, but should be cherry ripe after two recent runs, and looks the type to do well over this trip, so she could be value against others, like Flight Of Esteem and Tusk, who do not look such good propositions over 12 furlongs. The selection though has to be High Action.
