Rawdon is a capable performer and looked to be coming into form at Folkestone earlier this month but Michael Bell's gelding has yet to prove his effectiveness on ground this testing and a safer bet looks to be Lady Romanov, who is preferred to Mitanni. The last mentioned is less exposed than most of these and could be of interest, although the testing nature of the ground has to be of concern and he looks best watched. Faith And Reason has disappointed every time that he has raced under testing conditions and is hard to recommend, while Danzare has similarly yet to prove that she handles ground this testing. Sir Haydn is capable but inconsistent and is another that has yet to prove his effectiveness on ground this testing and preference is for Lady Romanov. The Mark Tompkins-trained filly is progressing with each start, is bred to handle the cut in the ground and gets the tentative vote in a tough looking finale.
