In depth

Verdict

Kondakova was good value for her win at Windsor last time but a 4lb rise since then and more testing conditions leave her with more to do and preference is for Disco Dan, who gets the vote ahead of Futuristic Dragon. The last mentioned should have no problems with the underfoot conditions and has to be respected but Paul Blockley's colt seems plenty high enough in the weights for what he has achieved so far. Miss Ippolita is gradually slipping to a fair mark and has claims on a surface that he handles, while Beautiful Madness has yet to prove her effectiveness on ground this testing and may be best watched. Disco Dan has yet to race on ground this soft but, being by Danehill Dancer out of a Bahri mare, he should have no problems with it and is taken to resume winning ways.
