WAKE UP CALL could rate a good deal higher than this in time and is taken to beat Soviet Secret, with Hustle perhaps best of the rest. Chris Wall's filly is clearly well-regarded - she's started favourite for four of her five starts - and started to show why with a likeable display here last time. She'll race handily which could help her cause in this small field and the 6lb rise she's incurred should be shrugged off in style. Soviet Secret deserved his Newmarket victory having bumped into a couple of reasonable types in this, his first season. He's a half-brother to smart handicapper Handsome Falcon and this mark of 79 doesn't look prohibitive, but he may just have bumped into another progressive sort here. Hustle responds well to his talented rider and should be suited by this return to seven furlongs after a poor run over a mile last time. He may be too high in the weights to win but can gain some prize money for connections by taking third ahead of Always Dazzling, who had plenty go against her last time. With Joe Fanning returning to ride the Mark Johnston-trained filly she can't be ruled out but this double-grade uplift might halt her progression. Mudhish is consistent but hard to win with so Malcheek, back down to his latest winning mark, is of marginally more interest. However, Wake Up Call looks a filly going places and can win this.
