ROBBIAN won this last year then completed a double at Catterick. He's been running consistently this year without quite getting there but is only 4lb higher than a year ago and has Noel Garbutt's claim to aid his cause so gets the nod. Sakhee's Jem has also won around here though that was on very fast ground and Justice Rock, the other course and distance winner in the line-up, gained his only subsequent victory in a very poor Chelmsford handicap earlier this month. Strictly Carter's best form is on fast ground and Polytrack but the lightly-raced Sentinel is one of the few with scope having had just two runs since January. Dean Ivory's yard is on a high so the fact that Nicky Baby hasn't run since a good fourth here in July shouldn't be a problem. Captain Scooby was engaged at Windsor yesterday.
