Tember had shown enough in his first three starts to be sent to Newmarket for a lucrative sales event but he couldn't handle the step up in class. Laubali attracted support at Beverley and didn't get the run of the race but Lina's Star, who had shown potential for Richard Fahey, made a successful debut for David O'Meara at Newcastle and is only 2lb higher. Johni Boxit ran very well at Beverley then didn't look suited by Chester's turns while Zizum led from halfway until caught on the line in a Catterick nursery. GANGLAND has had more experience than most which should stand him in good stead and he looked a likely future winner when staying on strongly at Newcastle so gets a tentative vote in a very open contest.
