    Verdict

Richard Fahey sends RUBIS (NAP) on the long journey from North Yorkshire and the journey can pay off. The four-year-old won a slightly better race than this at Ayr so a 2lb rise is unlikely to prevent another big run. Sussex Girl has been making steady progress and battled on well for Nicola Currie at Brighton but Oceanus only won a seller on the same track and was well beaten on a return visit. Hannington won over the course and distance in August and is on the same mark though that was on fast ground and he was a beaten favourite in an amateurs' race here last week. Rock On Dandy has yet to win but has been threatening to do so and ran well to finish runner-up here last Monday.
