Verdict

A maximum field to end with and winner finding gets no easier. Top weight Sky Quest is effective here under these conditions, as he showed when beating another of todays rivals, Major Attraction over course and distance last July. He actually meets his rival on 5lbs better terms, so should in theory come out on top again. Perfect Punch, a winner on the All-Weather, tackles turf for the first time. He is out of a mare that won two races in Ireland, including one on fast ground, so there is every reason to believe he will actually improve for racing on grass. Now five, and still a maiden, it doesn't exactly auger well for In Luck. However, he is from a family renown for getting better with age, which includes Needle Gun and Luso, both high-class performers, so maybe all isn't lost with In Luck. A chance is taken with another maiden five-year-old in the shape of Summer Stock, who came from a mile back at Warwick, when a strong finishing 4th to the well-handicapped On Guard. He can run off the same mark in this and will be more at home with the longer straight here.
