    Verdict

A low grade handicap in which the majority would be at home in selling company. Another Secret would certainly enter calculations if she could repeat her effort at Goodwood last year when beaten less than three lengths by Atlantic Ace, when in the care of Richard Hannon. Now in the care of Milton Bradley she starts off on her lowest mark for 18 months. However, the vote goes to Devant, who is unexposed and her defeat of Harcourt over course and distance last year, was made to look much better when that rival went on to score last week at Newmarket off a mark of 80, which makes Devant look well in here off 77. Estimation has shown enough to suggest she has a race in her and is respected on her effort at Nottingham, where she had the 82 rated Sewmore Character a couple of lengths behind that day.
