In a competitive, low-grade handicap, BIG SUR is taken to go in again now he's got his head in front. The four-year-old is a half-brother to Luca Cumani's smart filly Seta and, being by Selkirk, should relish conditions. He's gone well at the track before and while his winning effort came in a dire Kempton contest it may provide the foundations he needs to build upon. Broughtons Dream needs to improve again if she's to defy her penalty gained at Brighton and the consistent Mr Chocolate Drop would need to find something for trying this trip if history is anything to go by, so those looking to take on our selection could do worse than turn to Nicholas Pocock, who fared well in a much better race at Newmarket and has perhaps generously been dropped a pound.
