In depth

Verdict

FETTUCCINE looks worth chancing in a competitive maiden. Jeremy Noseda's filly started life in a novice contest won by the smart Marlinka and showed promise, running green and staying on when the penny dropped. She's been off the track for some time since but connections are clearly keen to get a win into her this year and, with this ground set to prove more suitable, this may be the right opportunity. Luckbealadytonight took second on her debut in what wasn't a competitive Southwell contest but she can only improve and looks a threat along with Beacon Hill, who represents top connections and wasn't far behind subsequent Royal Ascot-placed Roayh when last out. Flying Arch makes some appeal with a run behind her while of the support for Unex Goya or Munaaseb would be considered interesting.
