Street Star can make experience count over Applauded and a whole host of southern-based newcomers. Street Star has already been runner-up on each of her two starts to date, at Windsor and more recently here at Yarmouth. On that latest occasion she caught a tartar in the Dewhurst entry Ancien Regime, and as the ground was a bit softer than she would have liked, she emerged with some credit. The daughter of King's Best should know more now, and can come good under Jamie Spencer. Applauded also shaped with a good deal of promise when third to Rinterval on her Newbury bow, and is well-entered up this week, so has to be a danger. There are plenty of other-well-bred young ladies on view as well, including Enlightened, a daughter of Bahamian Bounty. The market may provide a guide to the merits of the unraced brigade, but for the winner we return to Street Star in the first race of what promises to be three cracking days at the seaside track.
