Regency Red, Bulberry Hill and Song Sparrow are three against the field in this competitive finale and the tentative vote is given to Bulberry Hill. The selection was a fair fifth behind Let It Be in a better race last time out. This looks easier, and off the same mark here he looks the value bet in an open affair. Regency Red rates the main danger on his latest third behind Court Of Appeal but he continues to rise in the weights without winning and for that reason he is opposed. Song Sparrow is another worthy of respect on his best form but he was a very disappointing favourite behind Free Style last time out so can not be put forward with any confidence. Lenwade was a fair fourth behind Wizard Looking here last time and is another with place claims at least, especially as that form has since been franked. Of the remainder, Royal Axminster has dropped to a handy mark and could run well at a price, but in a race that throws up more questions than answers for the winner we return to Bulberry Hill who should appreciate the drop back in trip.
