In depth

Verdict

Danger Alley, Splendidio, Suzieblue and Peggys Flower are the four against the field with the vote going to the last named. Peggys Flower was seen in winning action at Windsor last month when getting the better of Mrs Crossy by a neck and followed that success with a fine second at Brighton. Since then though he was disappointing at Lingfield and now has to prove himself again. If he is forgiven his latest effort he has to go well. Danger Alley ran with promise at Warwick when third beaten three lengths. He can improve here but needs to if he is to worry the judge. Splendidio has been consistent of late and is one to note as is Suzieblue who won a little seller at Chepstow last month but was nearer last than first last time out at Bath in similar company so is to be treated with caution. So for the winner we return to Peggys Flower.
