Always interesting to see a sprinter hit form and watch how far they can go which brings us to Clear Spring, winner of his last two starts after a fallow period, most recently when beating a decent act in La Fortunata at Epsom. That was the third time in his career he's delivered back-to-back victories but has yet to go on and notch the hat-trick. He's up 11lb for those wins but must be a leading player in his current form. However, he's taken on with MINALISA, a decisive winner at Warwick at this trip before far from disappointing next time when running Cincinnati Kid close at Doncaster over 5f, giving the winner 16lb. She makes plenty of appeal back at 6f and can thwart the Clear Spring hat-trick bid. Maglietta Fina, a four-time winner, is an interesting Italian import for the Cowell team and requires a market check on her first run for the yard, whilst Angel Way was much better last time and merits respect.
