Little strength in depth here with the weights headed by Alfresco, who has not visited the winner's enclosure for over two years now. He did show some of his old sparkle last time though after a year off on his first run for a new yard and garners respect from that performance. Sweet Talking Guy and Birdie Queen are just modest improvers at this level but both could be interesting on their respective handicap debuts whilst Marmalade Moon has just about shown enough in lowly handicap company to stake a claim. AMIS REUNIS is one that pops up in her turn however and has strong claims if forgiven an uncharacteristically poor run last time. Previous efforts looks acceptably consistent in the context of this race and the drop in trip will not inconvenience.
