A wide-open affair with a VALLEY OF FIRE getting a tentative vote raised only 3lb for winning in this grade at Haydock. Carnival King has a similar level of form having won over track and trip recently while both Delve and Mamillius were set stiff tasks after winning their respective maidens and should find this easier. Twin Point and Calvados Spirit are both recent winners but upped in class while course and distance winner Gothic Empire failed to cope with a 12lb hike in the weights last time and Bint Dandy saves her best for the all-weather. Brave Hero is unexposed but hasn’t raced since April and headgear is applied on his return.
