A 7lb rise put paid to Palisade’s hopes of a treble and he could only manage fourth at Sandown last time. Kaatskill Nap went close in a maiden race at Haydock only to finish tailed off in soft ground back at the same track and has not raced since June while Hepplewhite has turned-in a couple of below par efforts of late. Luca Cumani gets his fair share of winners here and Newbury maiden winner MYOPIC (NAP) went close on her handicap debut over 1m4f at Goodwood last month. With plenty of scope for further progress, she should make another bold bid.
