Fairest, a 72,000gns yearling, is a half-sister to a winner in the States but PALMETTE, a full sister to Gimcrack winner Showcasing and closely related to several more winners over this trip, is the more interesting of the newcomers and can get the better of the luckless Tickled Pink. Sir Henry Cecil's filly has only found one too good in all three starts but she's becoming expensive to follow and doesn't appear to find much off the bridle. Charity Box has ability but will be qualified for handicaps after this run.
