close up on inner, headway over 2f out, led over 1f out, ridden out
in touch in rear, ridden 3f out, no impression
raced wide tracked leaders, led 3f out, ridden and headed over 1f out, stayed on
led, ridden and headed 3f out, kept on same pace
tracked leader, pushed along 4f out, ridden and every chance over 2f out, kept on one pace
Passion Play looks out of it after several poor efforts but the remaining quartet look closely matched. Winning hurdler Rosslyn Castle has been showing up well over shorter and will have no problems getting the trip nor will Solaras Exhibition, who has scored four times over timber. THE DUCKING STOOL was conceding 6lb to Ninfea when beating her four lengths over 1m6f here last month and, though the latter has been going well subsequently, there appears no reason for a turnaround of the form over this longer trip so Julia Fielden's mare gets the vote.
Rosslyn Castle 12-1 (8-12) Held up in mid-division on inside, headway tracking leaders approaching halfway, not clear run on inside 3f out and soon outpaced, stayed on again on inside over 1f out, ridden and kept on same pace inside final furlong, not pace to threaten, 5th of 12, 2 3/4l behind Red Runaway (9-4) at Lingfield 1m 4f hcp 0-80 (4) pol in Jul.
Solaras Exhibition (IRE) 25-1 (9-2) Held up in last pair, driven and outpaced over 3f out, stayed on to take 4th inside final furlong, never able to challenge, 4th of 5, 9l behind Warrior Of Light (9-2) at Ffos Las 1m 4f hcp 0-90 (3) gf in Jul.
The Ducking Stool 9-2 (9-4) Led 1f, tracked winner until ridden over 2f out, weakened final furlong, 3rd of 5, 11l behind Needless Shouting (8-13) at Yarmouth 1m 6f hcp 0-75 (5) gs.
Passion Play 33-1 (9-12) Led after 1f, headed 4f out, chased leader until ridden over 2f out, weakened well over 1f out, 8th of 12, 13l behind Ragged Robbin (8-13) at Kempton 1m 4f hcp (0-65) (6) pol.
