Larkrise Star didn't run badly at Windsor on Monday and has nothing to fear from the disappointing Cairanne on that effort. She's basically in the handicapper's grip, however, while Carpentras' victory over a mile here in May is beginning to look increasingly like a one-off. Darling Grace has shown enough in maidens to suggest she can take a hand in the finish but Candycakes has become disappointing and Saaboog failed to land a blow when favourite over a shorter trip at Brighton last time. Twin Shadow should improve for a comeback run at Newmarket but SECRETS AWAY has been taking on better opposition and, with the ground riding on the soft side of good, her proven stamina could be an asset today. Marco Botti's filly is fancied to open her account at the fourth time of asking.
