      Verdict

      The progressive GREY SEAL ran well in a hot maiden at Kempton in May before getting off the mark on her handicap debut over a longer trip at Wolverhampton. There appears no reason why she shouldn't be able to transfer that form to Turf and James Fanshawe's filly can defy a 7lb rise in the weights. Hail Promenader looks the danger on his latest second to Rough Rock at Newmarket, though Saslong is unexposed and is improving judged on his third at Hamilton. Whitby Jet is often thereabouts but usually finds at least one too good while Hereford Boy finished a long way behind Patriotic at Newmarket last month.
