Verdict
BATELEUR should be able to reverse form on SherJawy in this handicap and is taken to do so with Tyfos also considered. The selection was beaten just half a length by his re-opposing rival last time despite carrying a six pounds penalty for a win in a similar race at Folkestone. He carries that penalty again but with his rival now also burdened with extra weight the terms have firmly swung in his favour. The penalty alone would probably have been enough to stop Sherjawy winning here but given the extra form to consider it looks a really stiff task to follow up. Tyfos looks weighted to be competitive racing off a mark a pound lighter than his decent re-appearance last time out were he finished ahead of a couple of subsequent winners. Mafaheem is another for the shortlist now well below his last winning mark but his recent form in selling company is a little off putting so instead we like the chances of Bateleur.
