In depth

Verdict

These maiden handicaps are always very popular with trainers which makes it difficult to pick a winner but we will side with Yorkes Folly with Frankynjonny and Riolo both worth noting. The selection caught the eye at Thirsk last time out when second to Aagowangowan. She has shown the past that she has ability and gets on well with her young apprentice jockey. If showing her best she is taken to get her head in front this time around. Frankynjonny showed some decent form early on in the spring but has not showed much lately so connections have fitted visors to sharpen him up. If working the oracle then he is one to note in the betting market. Top weight Riolo has a heavy burden of ten stone to carry and is up against some horses that are possibly better treated. Having said that he has shown some decent form in the past to warrant respect so is therefore a danger but for the winner we return to Yorkes Folly.
